HPSC PGT Age Limit

The age limit for Haryana PGT Teachers is set to ensure that candidates fall within a specific age range at the time of application. The minimum age required for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 42 years. However, there is an age relaxation for those currently employed as teachers within the Haryana Education Department, extending the maximum age limit to 45 years.

HPSC PGT Application Fee

The application fee for the HPSC PGT Recruitment Application Form varies based on the applicant’s category. General male candidates and male candidates from other states need to pay Rs. 1000/-. General female candidates, female candidates from other states, and candidates from categories such as SC, BCA, BCB, ESM, and EWS are required to pay Rs. 250/-. There is no application fee for PH/PwD candidates from Haryana. All payments must be made online. As the application link will close on 14 August 2024, the Haryana PGT Examination tentatively would be expected to held in September 2024 – October 2024.  Candidate must start their exam preparation as the HPSC has released 3069 vacancies in 31 subjects for Rest of Haryana Cadre and Mewat Cadre.

HPSC PGT Syllabus 2024 & Exam pattern

The Haryana HPSC PGT Syllabus 2024 and Exam Pattern includes a two-stage examination process followed by an interview. The first stage is a Screening Test, which is an objective type test consisting of 100 questions, accounting for 25% of the total marks, with a duration of 2 hours. The second stage is the Subject Knowledge Test, a descriptive exam comprising 150 marks, making up 87.5% of the total marks, and lasting 3 hours. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks in these tests to proceed to the interview stage, which carries a weightage of 12.5%. The overall performance in both the exams and the interview will determine the final selection.

HPSC PGT Selection Process 2024

The HPSC PGT Selection Process 2024 consists of a multi-stage evaluation, starting with a Screening Test featuring 100 objective questions, accounting for 25% of the total marks and lasting 2 hours. Candidates who pass this test proceed to the Subject Knowledge Test, a descriptive exam worth 150 marks (87.5% of the total marks) with a 3-hour duration, focusing on subject-specific knowledge.

To qualify for the next stage, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying marks in this test. The final stage is an Interview, carrying 12.5% of the total marks, which assesses the candidate’s personality, teaching skills, and overall suitability for the role. The combined performance in these stages determines the final selection.

HPSC PGT Salary 2024

The HPSC PGT Salary 2024 follows the 7th Pay Commission guidelines, with a pay scale set at FPL 8, ranging from Rs. 47,600 to Rs.1,51,100. This includes various components such as Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and Medical Allowance, along with other special allowances. After deductions like Provident Fund (PF) and Income Tax, the initial in-hand salary is estimated to be around Rs.65,000 to Rs.80,000 per month.
